Has anyone heard anything about Dr. Barek or know of him? His before and after pictures are amazing! I would like to go to Dr. Toriumi, but his revision rates range from $8,000 to $18,000! Dr. Barek's site shows his fees for revision to be $5,500, which is considerably less. If anyone has any personal experience or knows someone who has had experience with either of these doctors, I would love to hear from you! Thanks! I'm on my second surgery and hoping it will be my last so I want as much info as I can get before making any decisions!

I myself am considering Dr Barek. Have heard nothing about him but his b/a pics look quite good. Have you found out anything or heard anything more about him?

No, I haven't heard anything more about Barek. I have however read some scary stories about Toriumi (that he was arrogant, impatient) and a few patients complain about their bridge being too high. Another doctor I was considering was Dr. Denenberg of Omaha, NE. His facialsurgery website has some impressive pics also and he has personally e-mailed some responses to questions I've e-mailed him (he seems very knowlegeable and friendly) has anyone heard of him or heard of his work?

I consulted w/ Dr. Barek last week and was impressed at both his skills and the time he took to answer questions and show before & after pics. I have a few more consultations to go thru with before I make my final decsion but my gut says he's the one. Go see him! ;D

Hi Susan,
I did ask him that and he said he did about 30 revsions per year. Seemed a tad low but when I asked Tabbal the same question he said 1/3 of his biz were revisions. That's kind of a vague answer. Could be more or less than Barek depending on how many nose jobs he does total per year. You have to figure more people go in for primaries than revisions regardless of the doctor. I'm going back to Barek for a second consult Monday 11/25 after my consult w/ Godfrey. I'm going to ask him some more specifics about my nose but if you need any general questions answered, let me know. I plan on interrogating him again so a few more won't hurt! Overall, what was your impression of him?

Rose, What's you e-mail address? I'd love it if you could ask him a few questions that I forgot about. If you're uncomfortable posting your email, mine is sebrown101@yahoo.com, you can send it there. I really liked Barek. His b&A's were great and his prices were really reasonable! Hope to hear from you soon!! . Hey, also, what did you think of Tabbal? He's supposed to be one of the best! Did he quote you a price? Thanks a lot, Rose!

I went to Dr Barek myself two days back....not sure if I am gonna use him...I am a little unsure of his skills as a revision specialist. Another thing I did not like was the scopped up look he was giving my nose

I am considering Dr Barek myself. I went to see him two days back. He seemed allright but I am not sure of his skills as a revision specialist. He seemed to use the "scooped up" look too much. As a male I dont find it appealing. I am thinking of perhaps going to Denenberg but its just a hassle going all the way to Omaha. I am thinking of going back to Barek for another consultation to address some of the issues I was not totally happy about. I would appreciate if others sahre their stories about Dr Barek.
