I had rhinoplasty seven weeks ago and I am anticipating much more change in my nose. I had work done in the tip, with grafts made by cartilage from my septum. I am concerned about my columella. It now appears to be hanging down very low from the front-view, although it is fine from the profile. So this might be a combination of both the columella and the lower tip. Still, it does hang down very far and I am wondering if it is possible that this will shrink or retract upwards. The columella was not lifted during the surgery, so I am thinking that perhaps it now is out of proportion because changes were made to the rest of the nose. In your experience, is this a common problem? Or if my columella is too low, will it likely remain at the same level? Thank you.
