I just read the thread re Gunter versus Toriumi style, opened by Lars. Wellcome you Lars and Carl ;D I too am European and was wondering if you heard some names of European surgeons very specialized in revision rhino. I already know Dr Aiach, in Paris, but there MUST be someone else hidden here around. I am desesperately seeking.... Have you heard anything? Any hearsay? Any idea? Thanks Sim

I had revision with Mr Matti on Harley st. London He is a man of great integrity. He has greatly improved my nose, it was in a very poor state after 2 previous ops. He would give you a very honest appraisal.

thank you John. Who is this Dr Matti? What are his credentials? A while ago, I had read your story in the e xperience section (thank you for posting it... though I feel sorry for you. So stupid, isnt't like one can "slip" dummly into a rhino nightmare... kind of same as I did ) Anyway, I cannot remember which surgeries Dr Matti performed on you? what did he say about your case now? Cannot he do something further for you? What are his credentials? ??

Hello Sim
Mr Matti is an emminent Plastic Surgeon his speciality is the nose. 2 other surgeons originally directed me to Mr Matti as the complexity of the open revision was beyond them. Mr Matti has done ops 3 4 and 5.
Now I suppose My problem is that I want to return to my previous looks. Its ironic that I now only appreciate the positive features that I had now that they have gone.
I think bar the goretex on the bridge the surgeon feels that he has done as much as he can. He will not operate without confidence in the result ang given my history I appreciate this. The loss shape and soft tissue tethering the nose to the lips is the biggest problem but I`m not sure that there is or will be a solution for this.
Also the first surgeon removed so much tissue that ther is not much left to work with.
I am keeping an eye on products like artecoll and medpore and may do a world tour of surgeons for some opinions.
What problems are you trying to resolve
John

Thanks for responding John. I will look into Dr Matti ! Yes, my look and my smile changed too... No more depressor muscle, and except lip-lift, I think nothing can be done. Anyway, on my side, i had one op for breathing problem... which ended classicaly like a disaster (round tip- no more bridge, etc) I had one revision and now have a skull graft on my bridge, as well as ear graft on tip. Graft shows, my nose is not nice - very bad naso-labial angle... and way too short.
