Consider consulting with Niccolas Tabbal. He does not show pictures, but he has an outstanding reputation. Craig Foster might also be an option: The more people you consult the better off you should be in the end. Good luck.

I seem to remember someone on this board having a revision with Foster, was it JV? Some sort of initials like JV? Unfortunately, that is all I remember - I don't know what the results were. Does anyone else remember the story?

I do seem to remember a JV, but don't recall his story. There was Chris, who underwent a revision with Tabbal and seemed happy after his surgery, but I don't believe he's posted in a long while. Hope they're all doing well.

I had my primary with Foster several months ago. I will most likely have a revision to rebuild my bridge with Toriumi later this year. The bridge was made made way too low and is very bumpy.

So JV , you will definitely not reccommend going to Foster. He was not in my original list anyway. Was he convincing when you met him initially?

My recommendation is to choose one of the top 5-6 docs that Dean has listed (Toriumi, Burget, Gunter, Kandodia, Tabbal, Denenberg). Ideally choose a doctor who provides computer imaging (potentially a detailed drawing) so that you are both on the same page. Communicate with a minimum of 3 prior patients of his. If you have ethnic thick skin, choose a doctor who is preferabbly ethnic himself...and one who definitely has a significant number of ethnic patients. TRAVEL if needed. Just because a Park Ave. doctor may charge in excess of 10K, it doesn't mean that you will get a desired result. (Toriumi and Gunter charge considerably less for a primary).
I skipped all of these. Yes, my doc was too convincing but he didn't follow what we discussed.
Choose a doctor who can fix a problem if things go wrong wheter it means rebuilding the nose or fine-tuning it. That's why you should be safe with the docs listed above (particularly Toriumi, Gunter, and Tabbal). There hasn't really been significant negative criticism regarding these docs. Don't rush into things...research..research..research

Great post, JV -- very useful. Sorry to hear that you're seeking a revision. I too met with Foster, re: a primary, last year. I liked him but wasn't 100% sold altogether, though he was very affable and stressed that he'd take a conservative approach, which I'm looking for. Best of luck to you.

Use only ABPS certified physicians for your surgery. I found mine at ny-plasticsurgeon.com theres a lot of them there and am very happy. good luck.
