i've had 2 rhino sugeries and unfortunately am in the need of a third. After the second i got a build up of scar tissue. My question is that if i go to a revision specialist can he significantly reduce the scar tissue so that my nose does not look fat and swollen but looks defined. Also if anyone has had a third surgery with a similar problem of scar tissue and whether you were able to get an improvment or the situation got worse. thankyou very kindly for your time.

I have the same problem as you do, I've had prior surgeries and now have a buildup of scar tissue which keeps the swelling in the tip of my nose from receding. I'm searching for a doctor who will give me a Kenalog injection. Kenalog is a steroid that breaks down scar tissue and therefore allows the swelling to migrate out of the nose. When I find a doctor I will post his name.

Dr Minas Constantinides uses Kenalog injections - he is supposed to be good. He is based in N.Y - i'm in Canada so it's not too far, however i haven't seen any reviews from anyone claiming whether it did or didn't worked for them. I spoke to a Dr. in Canada about steroid injections and he said that my skin still may not envelope my nose precisely as i would like it to. Either way do keep me informed if you hear of a solution or try the injection, i'll do like wise.Good luck if u do. bye now.

I was told kenalog injections could leave you with indentations in your nose because there's no way to know exactly how it will break down scaring. I was told this many years ago because I have thick nasal tissue which creates heavy scaring.
