I took a fall a few months ago and now have a deviated septum and depressed upper lateral cartilege (makes left side of nose look crooked). The thought of any surgery scares me to pieces, and I don't know if I can actually go through with it now (maybe live with it, and see how I feel in future?). In the meantime, I had seen a ps, and wanted to meet with at least another for another opinion. Does anyone have any experiences, or know anything (good/bad) about: Dr. Philip Miller, Dr. Anthony Sclafani, Dr. Stephen Pearlman? (they are all in New York City)
I just found this site, and have found the threads very interesting... Thank you all!

Hi there: I've not met with Dr. Miller, but he was highly recommended to me by Dr. Paul Nassif in CA. Dr. Miller actually telephoned me three times to ask how he could help me as Dr. Nassif had forwarded him my info. That was a first for me--a doctor actually calling me unsolicited! Anyway, I didn't go to him because I had already met with another doctor at NYU Medical Center, Dr. Minas Constantinides whom he shares an office with. I decided to schedule my surgery with Dr. Constantindes after two meetings with him. I know he is not on your list, but he is a great doctor. He's the Director of Head and Neck Surgery at NYU, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty. I'm going to him for a revision of a primary rhino that left me with a deviated septum (I get no air in my left nostril) and asymmetry in my tip. I give him top ratings in bedside manner, technical knowledge, and esthetic sensibility. Believe me I know how scary the thought of surgery is, but the minute I met Dr. C I felt better about the whole thing. He specializes in very natural looking results and since it sounds like you want him to return your nose to it's pre-fall state, I think you would be very happy with his work. Prior to meeting him, I almost decided to live with my tweaked nose because I just hadn't met a PS I felt comfortable with. I also spoke with several of Dr. C's patients, one of whom had broken her nose twice and had it further wrecked by three other PS's. She went to Dr. C last January and he was able to remedy her breathing and esthetic problems. Of course the proof is in the after photo and I haven't had my surgery yet, but if you just want to get a second opinion as a reality check from a great doc, I don't think you can go wrong with Dr. Constantinides. Re: Dr. Miller, I would meet with him as well if you are leaning in that direction, he was exceptionally kind and helpful to me over the telephone. I asked Dr. Miller if it would be uncomfortable if I met with both he and Dr. C. because they work together and he said absolutely not because they want their patients to get as much information as possible and choose the surgeon that is right for them. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

I saw Doctor C. for my nose too. He charges $10,000. Do you know any doctors who are good who charge less?
