Dr. Geoffrey Tobias

Hello,

I am new to these boards. I have been thinking about getting a nose job for a while. Although I live in Los Angeles, I am leaning toward Dr. Tobias. In reading this board and others, I have come across posts alluding to the fact that some people have not been happy with their results with Dr. Tobias. I did a "search" but I can not find any direct post from people who are Dr. Tobias' patients, happy or unhappy.

Does anyone have any information about Dr. Tobias and his work? What have you heard? Have you had a consultation with him? What did you think? Anyone one of his patients? What were your results?

I really appreciate any information that you can give me. As you know, this is a big decision.

Did you ever get any information on Dr. Tobias? I cannot get anything on the internet.
Where did you look to get feedback from? I'm considering and actually planning surgery with him in August, so I would like some input beforehand.

I looked into the web site with the supposed 38 instances Dr Tobias is mentioned and they are gone or erased. Is there a reason for this, or is someone erasing these messages?

I was a patient of Dr. Tobias. He did my primary nose job and I was not happy! He didn't fix the main things that I wanted changed and in some ways, my nose looked worse afterwards. He agreed that it didn't come out right and revised it a couple of years ago. That was an improvement but it still wasn't the nose that I wanted. He created new issues - a drooping tip - that I never had before. He took too much off the bridge and left pointiness in the tip because the cartilage was uneven. I finally had a revision with Dr. Toriumi (after lots of research and soul searching) and I am 5 months post op and VERY HAPPY! My nose is really the nose that I always wanted - it fits my face - I get so many more compliments now. The pointiness that Dr. Tobias created is finally gone. I would strongly recommend a consultation with Dr. Toriumi if you are considering a revision.

Elle, I am wondering if you'd be willing to email me the before and after pics....I am considering revision rhinoplasty and need a good doc, but Toriumi doesn't have any before/after pics on his site!@
